November Challenge 2012

Happy Happy November 1st!! I'm so glad you stopped by because I have so many fun things to tell you about! Last year I challenged myself to post every day in Nov. and blog at least one thing I was thankful for that day. Well, I'm doing it again with a twist! If you leave a comment in Nov. of something you are thankful for it automatically enters you for my giveaway at the end of the month! I love a giveaway!  Y'all are so precious to leave amazing comments on my facebook, however, to be entered to win the giveaway you have to comment on my blog. I want all my readers to be blessed by your thankful hearts as well!

Today I'm thankful for you my reader, my friends. You can't imagine how your comments and emails send me over the moon! I love writing, and I absolutely adore hearing from you! I am thankful for the new friends I've made through blogging. So wild that we can geographically be a million miles away and yet be as close as a click of the mouse! I love it! Thank you for supporting my artful journey as well! Creating art fills my soul so completely. I live for time in my studio when the world disappears for just a little while. I love sharing my studio with you! It's so much fun to create with others! Be on the look out for an online workshop with me next year! We can be in the studio together all the time! I love it! I love teaching and creating with you! Thank you to my precious ladies who paint on Monday nights and Tuesday mornings. Y'all inspire me every week to laugh more and paint better! Thank you!

Speaking of my artful journey! Have you started on that Christmas list yet? I've got a couple of shops you have to visit! I have painted angels on pine boards and put them in a few of my favorite places. If you live in or around Montgomery, you can find my angels at Candle Cabin. Candle Cabin is one of my favorite shops. Wendy, one of the owners has done an amazing job of filling her shop with beautiful gifts for any occasion. She carries everything from gorgeous jewelry, artwork, fine accessories, and of course, divine smelling candles. Candle Cabin is one of my "go to " stores for gifts. I never wander around wondering what to buy. On the contrary, there are so many wonderful things to purchase I have to keep going back!

You can also find my angels at Wrapsody in Auburn. If you have never been to Wrapsody you are in for a real treat. It is nestled in the heart of downtown Auburn on college street. Lindsey and her adorable staff have decorated the shop from top to bottom with Christmas trees covered in fabulous ornaments and my personal favorite, twinkling lights. When you enter the shop you are always welcomed with a sweet smile and warm hello. Wrapsody is filled with wonderful surprises on every shelf! So many of you have already found my angels beautifully displayed under the Christmas trees. Thank you for  your sweet support! Wrapsody is the perfect place to complete your shopping list. They carry amazing gifts and accessories for your home. I never leave empty handed. There Christmas open house starts today and goes through the weekend. They are opening early and staying late so you can experience Wrapsody Chistmas for yourself!

November is full of fun surprises! I love surprises! Leave a comment of something you're thankful for today!  You automatically enter my give away! Shop Candle Cabin and Wrapsody and tell them you read about them on my blog! If you don' live near Auburn or Montgomery and would like one of my angels on pine just contact me through email on my blog! Thank you for following me! I am thankful for you today!  Love love love Ruthie

  2. November of last year I entered your precios art blog to win one of your beautiful pieces to put in my house. It ended up my name was drawn at the perfect time. My sweet girls and I had been held at gunpoint and felt broken and violated. I won shortly thereafter. Your angel painting hangs where I walk by it everyday and thank God for two angels (can and park)being spared that night instead of taken from me. It also reminds me how thankful I am for my beautiful friend and artist that teaches me something often! Ruthie you truly are a blessing beyond words.

  5. I am thankful first and foremost that God sent his only Son, Jesus, into this fallen world to live and breath with mere humans, to die a horrific death, to be resurrected from death and ascend to live with God, the Father, who is right NOW preparing a place in His home for all who believe that Jesus is who He says He is! And God loves and restores us if we will only let him. Secondly, I am thankful for my wonderful family, for my 89 year old Daddy who has such a zest for life and experiences life abundantly every day, and thirdly, and I am thankful to call Ruthie my friend :). Love your angels! Hope I get one!!!

  8. Mia! Thank you! You know me I was weepy reading your comment! I love Jesus so much and you nailed it! Yes! I am so thankful for His precious Son and free gift of salvation! Is there anything else sweeter? I think not. But the incredible way Jesus was passed down to you through the love and testimony of your daddy is priceless! Thank you for sharing that! The lump in my throat is so big I can hardly swallow! I love you Mia! I am a better wife, mama, and friend because of you! love R

  9. Thank you Ruthie!
    This is a wonderful idea!
I am thankful for my husband, who works so hard to provide for our family. I am thankful for 3 strong sons to whom the Lord has given a hope and a future (Jer 29:11). I am thankful for friends and acquaintances who encourage me in the Lord (like you, Ruthie). And I am thankful that even though I often fail Him, I belong to a faithful God who will not fail me!
I pray our blessings are as clear to each of us as the nose on our faces! Have a wonderful November!
